Microblading

Microblading is a semi-permanent brow technique where fine, hair-like strokes are created by hand to give natural-looking, fuller brows. Performed by Nadine Lötter at Skulpt Ink in Ruimsig, Roodepoort. Who it suits: sparse, over-plucked, uneven or light brows, and anyone who wants to save time on daily brow make-up. What to expect: your brows are measured and drawn to suit your face shape, the colour is matched to your hair and skin tone, and numbing is applied for comfort. A touch-up session is done about 6 weeks later to perfect the shape and colour. Aftercare: keep the brows dry and clean, avoid make-up, sun, swimming and sweating for the first days, and do not pick any flakes. Results usually last 12 to 18 months depending on skin type.
